Mykonos Hues

from A$400.00

There is a particular hour in Mykonos when the light stops being beautiful in a general way and becomes specific.

The sun drops behind the waterfront buildings of Little Venice. The facades go orange and then pink and then something without a name. The water carries it all back up. And for a few minutes, the island looks exactly like the place people have been trying to describe for decades — except quieter than the description, and more fleeting.

Mykonos Hues was made during an evening walk along the waterfront on 21 September 2022. The image holds the moment just before the colour shifts again — that suspended, honeyed light that arrives once a day and stays for less time than it takes to explain.

It is a warm image in a collection that often runs cool. Where the Deep Blue Scenes series finds the island in shadow and silence, Mykonos Hues catches it at its most luminous — facade light reflected on water, the geometry of the old buildings softened by dusk.

For rooms that want warmth. For walls that need something Mediterranean and unhurried.
