The sky moves through several colours in the space of twenty minutes — colours that have no proper names, only feelings. From Domain Road in South Yarra, elevated above the city, the southern sky opens fully.
From Domain Road is a triptych of twilight photographs of the Melbourne skyline, made from a single fixed point in South Yarra. Shot in the precise window between sunset and dark, each image in the series holds a different moment in that transition: a different sky, a different intensity, the same city becoming something other than itself.
Together, the three prints form a complete document of one Melbourne evening — a sustained study of the moment the city shifts from day to something more cinematic.
This is Melbourne for people who know it well enough to love it quietly. Not the postcard view. The one you see when you've stopped in the right place at the right moment and let it arrive.
